As you can see, there have been a reduction in numbers of candidates sitting for Part 1 Examination of the Diploma in Estate Agency Examination over the 3 years (2023-2025) for Johor, KL, Penang and Sabah. The only Region (Wilayah) which is not showing a reduction is Sarawak. In fact, for 2025 there has been a marked increase of Candidates for Part 1 in Sarawak.
The likely explanation to this phenomena is the cessation of various tuition centers (academic tuitors) for this programme. Most of them are not maintaining recruitment of students with competition from paid programmes (internal route) by various Universities and Colleges. Traditionally, Sarawak do NOT have these type of tuition centers (night or weekend) hence, you do NOT see significant change in the candidate numbers impacting due to their cessation of business.
Furthermore, from Jan, 2025 we started physical classes in Kuching, Sarawak. Thus, you can see the increase of candidates from Sarawak - 69% increase from 2024. From the small base, this increase is 10 new students from our 2025 class.
Hopefully, we can deliver quality education and build more potential future REAs in Sarawak!
